I have been slowly becoming addicted to having flowers in my hair. They jazz up my some of my worst hair days (now, if only they could help my bangs).
Ash bought me this one at Hobby Lobby the other day, while we were on a apron-making craft mission. At first, I thought I would clip it to my apron. The minute that I put it in my hair, however, I have come to the realization that it will never see my apron. I love the strips too much to not wear it in my hair every day!
Earlier this week, I was reading Gala blog (no surprise) and found this article on how to make floral crowns. I didn't have the all the supplies featured, but I made do with what I had. The result is a wonderful black and red floral crown that I am surprisingly in love with.
It has three black flowers on either side of a red flower. Normally, I would never wear this. I cannot begin to describe how in love with it I am though. My sister thinks I look stupid and I think my mom questions my sanity a bit. The result though is a goth faery queen look, so I'm a bit in love.
To continue on with the goth faery queen look, I paired it with a vampire shirt and a long flowy black skirt.
I want to make more with better flowers and the right equipment. It would be cool to have a floral crown for every occasion, don't you think? Well, I can dream anyway.
